These Palo Santo sticks come from trees native to the north of Peru. In this area, the Bursera graveolens trees grow in rocky soil and harsh conditions. These conditions however, favour the development of a large amount of resin and a particularly strong and intense aroma, rich in limonene.

The cut of this stick is the standard size, approx 1.2cm x 1.2cm x 10cm making it ideal for rituals and ceremonies.

Palo Santo is a natural incense, with a thousand-year-old tradition, obtained from the Bursera graveolens tree. It is the oldest and most traditional form of Palo Santo. It is also the least expensive as it can be lit many times.

How to light the Palo Santo stick:

Lighting the Palo Santo stick in the correct way helps you to fully enjoy the aroma of this natural incense. It is very simple:

1. Light the Palo Santo stick with a flame until it is burning on its own.
2. Keep the flame lit on the stick for a few seconds and then blow it out. There is no need to keep the flame lit for a long time, or else you will start burning the oils and resins contained in the Palo Santo.
3. If the flame goes out on its own after a few seconds, don’t worry, this is how it should work.
4. Once the flame is out, blow lightly on the embers that forms on the top of the stick.
5. The smoke that the stick emits into the air is the essence and aroma of Palo Santo. The vibrations it spreads create a clean environment that promotes relaxation and introspection.
